API method: Prep 🥄
Create the instance attributes | 10 mins
- Create instance attributes which represent the types of access events you offer. Set up the Instance Attributes as a ‘checkbox’ and visible in the API. Don’t forget to add a description so that everyone else on your team knows what the attributes do!
- Apply the new Attributes to your access performances.
TIP: You can use the bulk instance update tool to add the new attributes to multiple instances.
API method: Cook 🍳
Use the instance attributes to display access information on your website.
- Using the API, your web developer can highlight Instances with access attributes.
- Share the technical documentation with your web developer and collaborate on how you want access information to be displayed.For example, you could use labels such as ‘captioned’ or, ‘audiodescribed’ which display alongside instances with access attributes.
