Method🧑🍳
Check your mailing list against Dotdigital’s Global Suppression List and suppress potentially harmful email addresses.

Log into Dotdigital.
Go to Settings > Email > Suppression settings and select RUN GSL.
The report will identify the number of emails that Dotdigital suggests you suppress.

Check the GSL result and choose which types of contacts you would like to suppress:
- Known Hard Bounces: Email addresses that have resulted in a hard bounce, indicating permanent delivery failure.
- Known ISP Complainers: Email recipients who have exhibited an unusually high number of spam complaints to their Internet Service Provider (ISP). Complaints occur when a recipient reports an email as spam or junk.
- Known Direct Complainers: Email recipients who have shown an unusually high number of complaints to Dotdigital, either directly or through a third party.
- Invalid Domains: Domains that lack a valid MX record, making them unable to receive email.
- Known Purchased Addresses: Email recipients who are listed on known purchased email lists.
- Known Complainers: Email recipients who have made public complaints about spam abuse, typically on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Known Litigators: Email recipients who are known to have initiated litigation against email senders regarding unsolicited commercial emails.
Warning: Once an email address has been suppressed using the GSL, it can't be undone.
TIP Keep it up! Check the GSL once a month to keep on top of new email addresses.
