All customers should be able to enjoy the same easy online booking journey. Making access seats available online can help your organisation welcome the widest possible range of audiences.

🥣Makes: Enable eligible customers to book access seats online

⏲️Cooking time:  Prep 45 min | Cooking time 15 min

Outcomes 🤩

  • Make access seats visible and available to purchase online
  • Reduce the barrier to online bookings for access seats

Ingredients 🥕

Prep 🥄

  • Create or edit an info overlay to include information about the accessible seats on your seating plan(s). For example you may add the information ‘best view of captions’ or ‘step free access’,‘close to an exit’.
  • Set up Lock Types for your accessible seats
    • Make sure they are set to active, available for website users, and choose a relevant icon to display online.
    • For customer eligibility, use the tags you have already created with the recipe Capture Access Needs
  • Create or edit a Lock overlay to assign the locks to your seating plan.

Cook 🍳

  • Update or bulk update your instances with the new info and lock overlays. You can skip this step if you edited existing info and lock overlays as they will be automatically updated.
  • Add a custom website message that appears on the chooseats.aspx iframe to prompt your customers to login or create an account to book access seats. You can also link to their Nimbus Access card if you are based in the UK.

TIP: Once you have set up the lock and info overlays, make sure you apply them when you create new events and instances in the future.

Bon Appétit!
