This article is about the Ticket Converter tool. The Ticket Converter tool is designed to make it easier for audiences to donate, or accept refunds to account credit, with a single email click.
The tool is available to all cultural organisations, regardless of the ticketing system you use - it’s free to use, and we won’t see your data. We’re all in this together, and we hope this tool will help remind audiences that they’re part of your organisation, too. So far we’ve been hugely inspired by the response, with one organisation taking over 250 donations in lieu of refunds in just a few hours.
It won’t solve all of the challenges that lie ahead, but we’re sharing it as our small donation to the sector that inspires us every day.

The Ticket Converter Tool is designed to help you encourage your customers to convert some or all of their ticket refunds into either donations or account credit. It works by mapping a report from your CRM system to your email provider - no payment is taken using the tool, and it does not collect customers’ personal data. Here’s an illustration of how it works:
You can get started using the Ticket Converter straight away.
NOTE: before you can download your own customers’ responses, you'll need to complete this form so we can set you up with access.
Data protection and scope of the tool
The Ticket Converter is designed for cultural organisations in the UK, Ireland, North America or Canada, and works with payments in $ (US or Canadian), £ and €. It’s offered to these organisations free of charge, but we’re unable to offer individual support to users outside our client base.
The Ticket Converter has been built within Microsoft Azure. It sits outside the main Spektrix system, and does not store, process or require access to any personally identifiable or payment data relating to your customers - all links to customer accounts are managed via the customer reference number only. Spektrix will not have access to view or store customer data, but may view and share anonymised aggregate donations data if this information could be of benefit to the sector.
Share the tool with your sector colleagues

Our priority at all times is to continue supporting our immediate users. We hope this tool will be useful to the wider cultural community, and we hope that the documentation we’ve provided will give you the information you need to get started.
