Ordering a Chip Reader for use with Worldpay (US only)

To take in-person card payments using Worldpay, you'll need one or more Chip Readers (also known as PIN Pads, chip & PIN machines or peds). This article is for users in the US who use Worldpay to accept card payments.

Spektrix uses the Ingenico Lane 3600 integrated Chip Reader.

 

The Ingenico Lane 3600 Chip Reader

Spektrix integrates with the Ingenico Lane 3600 Chip reader to take in-person card payments. The Ingenico Lane 3600 is PCI compliant and can accept both chip and tap to pay payments.

TIP: The Ingenico Lane 3600 is only available for Spektrix users in the US who use Worldpay as their Payment Gateway. 

Payments taken through the Ingenico Lane 3600 are sent directly to your Merchant bank account. You can read more technical specifics about the Ingenico Lane 3600 in the Ingenico Data Sheet.

 

Ordering an Ingenico Lane 3600

You can order the Ingenico Lane 3600 from Scansource's POS Portal.  Business hours are 8am-5pm PST. They can be reached as follows:

You'll be asked for the following information:

  • TriPOS Cloud or Direct: Spektrix is compatible with TriPOS Direct
  • Device: Ingenico Lane 3600 is the only compatible chip reader for US Spektrix users
  • Connection Type: USB
  • Payment gateway and processor: WorldPay will be the payment gateway for your device but please include information about your payment processor.

Installing an Ingenico Lane 3600

Once you receive your Ingenico Lane 3600, your next step is to set up the device.

The Ingenico Lane 3600 connects to Spektrix through the Box Office App. As Spektrix is a cloud based system, the Box Office App is installed locally and enables hardware to communicate with your system.
