Ordering a Spektrix Payments Terminal

When going live with Spektrix Payments, you'll receive need one or more Payment Terminals (also known as PIN Pads, Chip & PIN machines, Chip Readers or PEDs/peds).

This article is for users who use Spektrix Payments in all regions and accept payment by credit or debit card. In this article you'll find information on the Verifone V400c Plus, V400m and Castles S1F2 Payment Terminal and how to order one.

Which Payment Terminals can I order?

Spektrix will supply the following payment terminals:

  • Castles S1F2 Payment Terminal: New Spektrix Payments Users: 
  • Verifone V400c Plus or V400m: Existing Spektrix Payments Users

 

Verifone V400c Plus and V400m (existing Spektrix Payments users)

Features of the Castles S1F2 Payment Terminal include:

  • Compliant with PCI (Payment Card Industry) and E2EE (End-to-End Encryption) for enhanced security
  • Accepts both Chip and PIN/Chip and Contactless/Tap to Pay
  • Touchscreen 
  • Built-in receipt printer

The V400c Plus and V400m are supplied with the following:

  • Power adapter
  • 4G SIM card (pre-installed)
  • Battery (V400m only) (pre-installed)
  • Quick installation guide

The V400c Plus and V400m payment terminals fully integrate with Spektrix. This means that any payments taken are processed within Spektrix and sent to your business bank account.

We have limited stock of the V400c Plus and V400m payment terminals. Existing Spektrix Payments users will receive either of these models (depending on existing use) until stock runs out.

Once stock runs out, the Castles S1F2 will be available to order for existing Spektrix Payments users. It isn't possible to replace or exchange the V400c Plus and V400m with the Castles S1F2 payment terminal.

TIP: Spektrix will support the V400c Plus and V400m until 31st December 2029. After this time they will cease to be PCI compliant.

 

Castles S1F2 Payment Terminal

Spektrix offers the Castles S1F2 for use with Spektrix Payments:

Features of the Castles S1F2 Payment Terminal include:

  • Compliant with PCI (Payment Card Industry) and E2EE (End-to-End Encryption) for enhanced security
  • Accepts both Chip and PIN/Chip and Contactless/Tap to Pay
  • Touchscreen 
  • Wireless connectivity for indoor and outdoor events.
  • Built-in receipt printer

The Castles S1F2 is supplied with the following:

  • Power adapter
  • USB charging cable
  • 4G SIM card (pre-installed)
  • Battery (pre-installed)
  • 20 Receipt rolls (initial order only when onboarding to Spektrix Payments)
  • Quick installation guide

The Castle S1F2 Payment Terminals fully integrates with Spektrix. This means that any payments taken are processed within Spektrix and sent to your business bank account.

TIP: It isn’t possible to use the S1F2 terminal in standalone mode. All card payments must be initiated through Spektrix

 

Ordering a Payment Terminal

To order a Spektrix Payments terminal contact Spektrix Support. Please have the following information ready:

  • Your Contact Name
  • Your Delivery Address
  • Your Contact Email
  • Your Contact Telephone Number
  • The number of required payment terminals

TIP: Spektrix will supply the Payment Terminals free of charge. This is subject to a Fair Use Policy. Read the Fair Use Policy for more information.

 

Ordering Receipt Rolls

The Payment Terminals will come supplied with 20 receipt rolls. You'll need to source additional receipt rolls.
