In Spektrix Link, you can configure the settings of Managed Components to change your customer’s online experience. For example, you can choose how Price Band names are displayed on the Enhanced Customer Seat Selection page.

This article is relevant to organisations who have the Checkout or Enhanced Customer Seat Selection Managed Components activated on their website or Subsite.

If your organisation doesn’t currently use Spektrix Link, contact Support to request a log in.

How are Managed Components configured?

If you’d like to change the customer’s default online experience, you can create custom configuration profiles for each of your Managed Components in Spektrix Link and assign them to your web domains in the Website Admin interface.

Once the connection is set, you can make changes to your configuration profile in Spektrix Link without needing to access the Website Admin Interface or link the domain again.

If you have multiple domains (for example your main website and your staging website), you can use the same configuration. You can also create multiple configurations for different domains.

Currently, you can amend the following settings for Managed Components:

How do I configure the Checkout Component?

You can configure the following settings about your Checkout Component in Spektrix Link:

Login Prompts

You can add a message to the Checkout Component to encourage customers to log in for a more personalised experience. For example, you can add a message about logging in to access Member pricing, subscription discounts or stored payment methods.

Login prompts example

To update your configuration profile, choose from one of the following options under the Login section:

Login section options
  • Don't show a prompt to login (default): Does not display a login message.
  • Show default message: Displays the standard message: "If you are a member you may be eligible for discounts. Log in to your account to access your benefits."
  • Choose your own message: Enter plain text with a custom prompt tailored to your organisation.

Donations & Fundraising

Under the Donations & Fundraising section, you can configure a Donation ask at checkout.

By default, the Show prompt to donate box will be unchecked. If you check the box to show a Donation prompt, you can configure the following options about the ask:

Donations configuration settings

Select suggested donation amounts:

  • Show the default donation amount only: Displays the Default Donation Amount configured on the Fund in the Admin interface.
  • Show dynamic range based on the default donation amount: Automatically calculates three suggested amounts based on your Fund's Default Donation Amount (50%, 100%, and 200% of the default amount, rounded up for decimals).
  • Show custom donation amounts: Enter up to five fixed comma separated values (for example, 5, 10, 15). We recommend no more than three amounts for optimal conversion.

Choose placement of the donation prompt on the checkout page:

  • Show at the top (eligible for one click and direct): Displays the donation prompt at the top of the checkout flow. If your checkout includes one-click checkout with Applepay, the Donation ask will appear above it.

  • Show at the middle (only available on direct checkout): Displays the prompt in the middle of the page to keep the one-click checkout flow streamlined.

Filters & Display

Under Filters and Display, you can choose how Price Bands and Ticket Types are presented to customers.

Filters and Display settings

Ticket type selection display mode:

  • 'Default' ticket type appears first (default): When this option is selected, the default ticket type is automatically selected for the customer. If multiple default Ticket Types are available, the default associated with the highest-value Price Band is selected.

  • 'Select a ticket type' appears first: When this option is selected, the customer will be prompted to select a Ticket Type. The Price Band buttons reflect the price of each Price Band’s default Ticket Type.

'Select a ticket type' option display

Ticket type selection on desktop:

  • Select ticket type via the dropdown on the filters row: Does not display a pop up, the user can select a ticket type before selecting tickets from the dropdown in the filters row or after selecting tickets from the basket / cart summary. This option is selected by default.

  • Select ticket type also via a modal pop up: Opens a pop up window over the seating plan whenever a seat is clicked.

    Modal pop up option
  • Show the modal pop up only when there is more than one ticket type: Keeps selection in the filter row if only one ticket type is available, but triggers a pop up when multiple choices exist.

Price band names:

  • Don't show price band names (default): Choose this option to hide Price Band names and display prices only on the selection buttons.

Don't show price band names option
  • Show the name of all Price Bands in line in the buttons: Shows Price Band names (for example., “Band A,” Band B”) directly within each button.

Show all Price Band names in line
  • Show the name of any Price Band with the attribute SLLabel: You can use this option in conjunction with a Price Band Attribute to highlight the name of certain Price Bands on the Price Band buttons. This is useful if you want to highlight a specific Price Band, for example, if you have a VIP price band. To do this, create a new Price Band Attribute as a checkbox and visible in API named: SLLabel

Once the Attribute is set up, you can check the box against each Price Band name you want to display and the Price Band name will appear highlighted in yellow:
