Navigating Spektrix

In this article we will guide you through the different areas or interfaces of Spektrix and how to navigate between them.

The Spektrix Interfaces

Spektrix is sectioned into different areas called interfaces. These interfaces have different functions, for example, setting up events or performing a sales transaction.

REMINDER: The interfaces you have access to depend on your User Account's User Roles. For more information on roles, read Adding and Editing Users. 

The Spektrix interfaces are:

• Sales Interface
• Insights & Mailings Interface
• Admin Interface
• Website Admin Interface
• Opportunities Interface
• Settings Interface
• Scanning Interface
• Partner Companies Interface

Navigating Between Interfaces

You can navigate between interfaces by using the Control Panel.

1. Select the Control Panel icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.

   

    

2. Once selected, it will expand to show a list of interfaces available to you. Within the Control Panel, select the name of the interface you would like to navigate to.

   

You'll know which Interface you are in by looking at the top right corner.

There you will see:

• The name of the Interface
• Your Username
• The name of your organization

TIP: The Scanning Interface and the Partner Companies Interface are two separate, stand-alone interfaces that can only be navigated through their respective URLs and can't be accessed from other interfaces. Sales Interface

• The Sales interface is where Sales Users and Sales Administrators process day to day sales.

  For example, you can:

  • Sell Tickets and other Items
  • Manage Customer Records
  • Print Tickets

Insights & Mailings Interface

• The Insights & Mailings interface is where Insights & Mailings Users and Insights & Mailings Administrators can retrieve data out of your system for marketing or reporting purposes.

  For example, you can: 

  • Manage and send integrated emails
  • Run Reports
  • Create Customer Lists

  

Admin Interface

• The Admin interface is where General Administrators set up Events and items to put on sale.

  For example, you can:

  • Set Pricing
  • Select and configure Seating Plans
  • Set up Ticket Subscriptions
  • Set up Fixed Series
  • Set up Memberships
  • Set up Merchandise
  • Create Funds and Donations
  • Set up customer relationship management elements like Tags and Customer Groups

  

Website Admin Interface

• The Website Admin interface is where Web Integrations Administrators can configure how your system integrates with your website.

  For example, you can:

  • Store CSS style sheets
  • Access the API key
  • Configure settings for specific domains

Opportunities Interface

• The Opportunities interface is where Opportunities Users and Opportunities Administrators can manage long-term and short-term fundraising planning.

  For example, you can:

  • Set up Campaign structures
  • Process Donations
  • Manage Opportunities
  • Record Activities
  • View Pledges and Legacies

Settings Interface

• The Settings interface is where Settings Administrators manage system configuration.

  For example, you can:

  • Add Users
  • Set up roles and permissions
  • Add or edit attributes
  • Customize website messaging
